Between abstraction and recognition

I create paintings inspired by colour, organic shapes, and the space between abstraction and figuration.

Through vibrant colours, layered forms, and subtle distortions, I explore how we see and interpret images. Some shapes may remind us of something familiar, while others remain open to interpretation. Depending on how we look at a painting, different forms and details begin to emerge.

I’m interested in this moment when we think we recognize something, but aren’t quite sure what we’re seeing. My paintings invite us to take a closer look, follow our curiosity, and discover our own connections with the image.

Each person brings a different perspective, which means that the same painting can be experienced in many ways. There is no single way to see or understand it.

With a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts Education and currently pursuing a Master's degree, I continue to explore the relationship between perception and visual experience through my painting practice.
